Since then, Ruggiero
AV Services has become more than the sum of its parts, and I
am continually working to expand the Personal Computer
technical support aspect of this site. This often
means that our Shoutcast stream takes a backseat to my other
projects. Since mid-December, 2005 which coincided
with a physical move and change in facilities, I have only
been able to dedicate a limited amount of time to compiling
twelve hours worth of content, and keeping our playlist
current.
It is with regret, therefore, that I must suspend our weekly
broadcast indefinitely. I will continue,
however, to offer monthly mixes "On Demand" as I can still
dedicate the time to a quality hour-long or two hour-long
mix. In addition, the offering of streaming content is
keeping in line with the growing popularity of this
"delivery vehicle" due to the increase in portable media
players, and the proliferation of broadband services like
DSL. Many people are now using the computer as an
overall media center, and extension of their stereo systems
and televisions, as opposed to performing more utilitarian
tasks with them, such as word-processing.
It is
only fair to mention that our weekly broadcast was made
possible through the technology pioneered by
Shoutcast.com -- they
still have thousands of online radio stations available,
playing everything from rock to pop, from classical to
techno, some 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You are
sure to find a station which fits your mood at any given
time. Meanwhile, we MAY return with a "live" broadcast
at a later date, but at this time, I cannot guarantee it.
I
would like to take this opportunity to THANK all of those
people who have made requests, tuned in, and kept up with
the stream through the years. You know who you are.
I truly enjoy "mixing it up" for you, and will continue to
do so each month... keep checking our
ON DEMAND page for updates.
